Non-Discrimination Policy

IT IS THE POLICY OF THE TELFAIR COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION NOT TO ALLOW DISCRIMINATION OR HARRASSMENT ON THE BASIS OF AGE, SEX, RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, NATIONAL ORIGIN, OR HANDICAP IN ITS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES, OR EMPLOYMENT POLICIES.

Federal law prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964); sex (Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and Title II of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Educational Act of 1984); or handicap (Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and I.D.E.A. – Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) in education programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance.

Employees, students, and the general public are hereby notified that the Telfair County Board of Education does not discriminate in any education program or activities or in employment policies.
